Extension project at RHEWUM GmbH: The specialists for high performance industrial screening machines are investing in the future with the extension of production facilities and supplementary office buildings. Beginning of the building operations is scheduled for the second quarter of 2008; completion is expected for the end of 2008. For more than 60 years RHEWUM and its approx. 100 employees have been developing and manufacturing screening machines for a variety of applications from leading industrial companies worldwide at their site in Remscheid/Ruhr Area, Germany. Meanwhile RHEWUM is represented in more than 20 countries by specialized agencies consulting customers on the spot. Traditionally all screening machines are manufactured at its own premises in Remscheid. With this extension project the company wants to face the tasks of the future already today, says Sigurd Schuetz, managing director of RHEWUM GmbH. The new production hall and therefore the extension of production capacities will help to increase fabrication effeciency and thus to safeguard jobs of RHEWUM. The supplementary office building will reduce work- and therefore also communication ways. This way the company hopes for a further improvement of internal production processes. Last but not least this will also enhance customer orientation. However, when considering these future-oriented measures, the company should not lose sight of one of the main problems - to cover the need for qualified industrial staff as well as for trainees, says Sigurd Schuetz.
