RHEWUM Mini Roadshow visiting Central Germany

23.09.2020, Freiberg, Germany

At the beginning of September two employees of RHEWUM GmbH headed east to introduce RHEWUM screening machines to potential customers and those interested.

The trip took them from RHEWUM’s headquarter in Remscheid to Freiberg in the Free State of Saxony which is located 545 kilometers away. The first destination was the Technical University “Bergakademie Freiberg”.

During their visit our employees met with heads of institutes and PhD students for networking and a live presentation on our demo screening machine. Afterwards, plans for future cooperation were discussed during a shared barbecue. Consequently, RHEWUM will stay in contact with the TU Bergakademie Freiberg in order to realize future joint projects and to benefit from an intensive bilateral knowledge transfer of theory and industrial practice in the field of mechanical process engineering.

The journey continued from Freiberg to Lutherstadt Wittenberg. Apart from being famous for its probably most prominent resident Martin Luther, Wittenberg is also known as an industrial-cultural city, as one of the most important chemical sites in Europe is located here. And at its core, in a product warehouse of a manufacturer of chemical raw materials, the RHEWUM trailer found its next stop. This made it very convenient to retrieve the test material directly from the hall and sieve it on the demo screener. The present factory staff watched with interest and got advice from our expert staff on possible machine types for their product. In this context, a common problem was discussed concerning the transmission of too many vibrations into the steel structure or building by conventional screening machines. Our screening experts emphasized that in RHEWUM vibrating screens with direct excitation, such as the RHEsono®, the vibration is transmitted exclusively to the screen mesh. The screening unit remains static and does not vibrate. This drive principle protects the steel structure from dynamic loads during screening as no vibrations are transmitted.

The last stop was the world's oldest potash plant still in use in Sondershausen. Again, our screening experts were able to convince with their knowledge on all aspects of potash screening.

Based on the consistently positive feedback from all those involved, it is clear that the "Touch it - Feel it principle" says more than a thousand words and that some things have to be experienced live to become aware of their quality and complexity.

Would you also like to benefit from the knowledge of our screening experts? Or convince yourself of our screening quality in our RHEWUM Technical Center? Then get in touch with us now. We will also be happy to visit you with our demo screener on request.
