RHEWUM supports the aid association for meals at local schools called „Förderverein Mahlzeiten in Remscheider Schulen e.V.“

As in past years, the employees of RHEWUM collected donations for a good cause during the pre-Christmas season and thereby help to ensure that children from low-income families at the local schools in Remscheid get a healthy breakfast and lunch.

Since 2006, the association known as “Möhrchen” (=baby carrot) has supported children at primary and secondary schools as well as schools for children with learning difficulties whose parents cannot afford their meals. By offering a balanced breakfast and warm lunch, these children have the opportunity to attend the classes with much more concentration and power. This year, “Mörchen” became 11 years old and can be proud of having enabled 1 million meals to children in Remscheid.

Like in the year 2016, RHEWUM’s staff has collected eagerly for this local association. The donation has been doubled by the management so that a sum of 2,000 euros can be given to the children at Remscheid’s schools.
